This morning was no different. I read an email from a new client saying he preferred a bigger-sized poster. I can do that, I thought to myself. After that, I deleted a bunch of newsletters full of things they claimed I needed, but I disagreed.
Then my eye caught an email with the subject: “Where’s the best place to grab your book?”
“Isn’t that obvious?” I mumbled.
Or… maybe it isn’t.
Is it spam? Are they trying to verify my email address by getting me to respond? So many questions ran through my head before I even finished my first cup of tea.
Maybe it’s not obvious after all. I put all my books on my website, with links to Amazon where people can purchase them. I often post the links on social media, so why can’t people find my book? Should I promote it more?
But I suck at promotion and sales.
Just buy the book, leave a review, and make me happy.
Kippie gives me a satisfied look as he passes me on his way out. I notice my teacup is already almost empty. I need more of this stuff. I need to wake up and get started.
Yes, I know, it’s Saturday. Other people enjoy their weekend.
But I’ve got stuff to do.
No places to go, but books to promote!
