“Write and illustrate your book in two hours with Claude.”

Yup, everything is possible with Claude these days: books, illustrations, songs, and music. Everything has to be fast, fast, fast. Quick, quick, quick.
While the world rushes by, more and more people are actually longing for a moment of calm. Just planting a seed in the ground and waiting for it to sprout. The anticipation of what’s to come, instead of the quick hit and instant gratification.

I’ve always raised my children on my own. That has its pros and cons. You have to make every decision by yourself, but you also have to make every decision by yourself.
My children grew up with only one parent. There was no other parent saying, “Wait a minute, I see that differently.” So you’re always wondering if you’re doing it right.

For myself, I quickly decided what mattered most: to fill their imaginary backpack with as much knowledge as possible and let them grow into independent, thoughtful, kind people. When they don’t know what to do, I hope they can reach into that backpack and find what they need. And if they still don’t know, then they remember what I’ve been whispering to them year after year:
“Whatever you’re going through, if you can’t figure it out on your own, we’ll figure it out together.”

They’re both adults now. Was it an easy road? Absolutely not.
But the older they get, the more I see that imaginary backpack come back in the things they do and say. I hear myself in them.

So yes, AI tools are incredibly fast. But some things simply take time. Like a seed in the ground. Or a good glass of wine. A child taking the time to learn and grow. Not everything needs to be finished right away.
So those children’s books that are written and illustrated with heart and soul still have far more depth than a book created in ten minutes with Claude. You can take my word for that.
