My mother hates it and grumbles about the mess on the sidewalk, but I’m smiling from ear to ear. I love the snow and the cold winter weather.
Thick flakes fall around me as I sink deep into the snow. I can’t get enough of it. On the news, they say it hasn’t snowed this heavily since 2021. They’re also predicting chaos for Monday.
Luckily, I don’t have to go anywhere because I don’t have winter tires, no four-wheel drive; I drive a simple little summer car. I roll out of bed, grab a hot cup of tea in the kitchen, take it to my office, turn on my iMac, and get to work and keep one eye on the thick snow flakes outside.
For everyone who does have to hit the road: I hope you all return home safely and, secretly, you still enjoy those thick white snow flakes just a little bit.
