Kelli and I met in 2022 during an online networking event. We started following each other on social media and occasionally connected about certain projects. It usually wasn’t the quality of my work that prevented us from collaborating, but rather the difference between the euro and the Australian dollar.
Then came the project 'Where the Light Finally Lands', a book featuring 22 women’s life stories. Still a huge fan of my work, Kelli asked me to design the cover.
I wholeheartedly said yes.
Why? Not only is it always a joy to work with Kelli, but I also loved the idea of my work finding its way to Australia.
When my daughter was three, we used to sing at the top of our lungs: “From Africa to America...”
Now I can proudly say I’ve completed projects in many countries, from Africa (yes, really) to America.
